Allflex ATAG Guide and Application Instructions
The ATAG Calf and Cow tags are built for long term application as a one piece option.
They are self-piercing with a pinhole tip, which means faster healing and reduced animal stress. The ATAG tags have high retention, especially in thick eared animals due to a wider tag anchor. They also have a large surface area, allowing for a wide range of marking options.

Allflex ATAG Cow and Calf Version 2
Effective February 2025, there are new instructions on applying the ATAG Version 2 tags onto your ATAG applicator. The image below describes this process.
How can I tell if I have Version 1 or 2 Tags?
Visually, there are differences. The version 2 tags have a distinct "V" cut at the top of the neck above the pin hole. The Version 2 tags also have a longer piercing stem compared to Version 1. If your not sure which tags you have please reach out to us we will be glad to help!
